At Oilicraft, we chose to reconnect with a foundational oil: olive oil, extracted from an ancient variety, Picholine, grown in the South of France.
But not just any oil: hand-picked, cold-pressed, with no chemical processing. Just the raw material, time, and care.
A living, artisanal oil
Unlike refined or heat-processed oils, our olive oil retains:
- its essential fatty acids (omega-9, oleic acid)
- vitamins A, D, E and K
- and its natural antioxidant polyphenols, known for their anti-inflammatory properties
It’s a living oil: dense, smooth, and able to penetrate the skin deeply without leaving a greasy film.
For the skin, hair & scalp
- Soothing for sensitive or irritated scalps, prone to dryness or flakiness
- Nourishing for dry ends and brittle hair
- Regenerating for tired skin, and areas in need of softness and comfort
- A perfect base for our herbal oil infusions (macérâts): it binds the active compounds, stabilizes them, and delivers them gently to the body
Olive oil is also a medicinal plant in its own right.
- It protects the digestive lining, promotes healthy transit, and soothes intestinal inflammation
- It’s a liver tonic, supporting detox and elimination
- It helps regulate cholesterol, boosts immunity, and acts as a mild tonic for the nervous system
A few drops on an empty stomach, or infused into warm oil blends, can help rebalance an overwhelmed digestive system.
At Oilicraft, we don’t see it as just another base oil.
It’s the foundation. The soul. The carrier.
It holds the plants, the energies, the intentions.
It’s the one we warm gently, the one we infuse slowly, the one we apply - drop by drop - to skin or scalp.
Because a good ritual always starts with a good oil. And a good oil always begins with the earth, the hands, and time.
